In their most common form, self-assessment activities are an in-depth medical knowledge test that provides feedback on your performance and the opportunity to learn from the experience.

As a result, no additional resources such as handouts or videos are included with the Comprehensive Review for the Certification and Recertification Examinations for PAs, Seventh Edition.

Your code provides access to the self-assessment CME post-test in AAPA's Learning Central. The post-test includes approximately 160 random questions drawn from each chapter of the book — it is not a reproduction of the full book content.

Completing the post-test earns you:

• 20 AAPA Category 1 Self-Assessment CME credits
• Up to 30 credits that can be logged with the NCCPA

Troubleshooting Common Issues

Issue 1: Error Message When Entering Your Code

If you receive an error message when entering the code from inside your book, contact AAPA Customer Care for assistance at customercare@aapa.org or by calling 703-836-2272 x 1 M-F from 9AM-5PM EST. To resolve this as quickly as possible, please have the following ready when you reach out:

• Your proof of purchase for the book
• The full access code printed inside the book

Once your information is received and verified, AAPA will manually add the post-test activity to your Learning Central account. You will receive a confirmation when access has been granted.

Issue 2: Code Shows as "Already in Use" While Completing the Post-Test

If you encounter a message stating your code is already in use while you are in the middle of completing the post-test, follow these steps:

1. Log out of your Learning Central account.
2. Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
3. Log back in to your Learning Central account using your AAPA login credentials.
4. The post-test activity should appear on your dashboard and be accessible for completion.

If the issue persists after clearing your cache and cookies, contact the AAPA CME tech support team at cmetech@aapa.org for additional troubleshooting assistance.

Issue 3: Can I Retake the Post-Test If I Already Completed It?

No. Once the post-test activity has been successfully completed, credit has been claimed, and your certificate has been generated, the activity cannot be reattempted. The system will remember your original completion details and will generate the same certificate reflecting your first attempt's completion date, even if a new attempt is initiated. If you believe your situation requires further review, contact AAPA Customer Care for assistance.

Confirmation / Expected Result

You have successfully accessed your post-test when:

• Your code has been accepted and the activity appears in your Learning Central dashboard.
• You are able to begin or continue the approximately 160-question post-test.
• Upon completion, your certificate is available in your Learning Central transcript, reflecting 20 AAPA Category 1 Self-Assessment CME credits.

Troubleshooting Summary
